Pavement design and geometric planning for an 8-lane industrial expressway corridor.
Project Overview
Designed to heavy traffic and industrial load standards, this 120km expressway corridor acts as the primary logistical artery for newly developed industrial zones. The geometry involved stringent curve smoothing and gradient controls to maintain high-speed haulage safety.
Pavement structure shifted from traditional asphalt to continuously reinforced concrete pavement (CRCP) for longitudinal segments with high axle loads. The intricate drainage network modeled alongside ensures extreme flood-resistance.
